Roberta Pulliam, 89, of Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, died 8:00 p.m. Thursday (February 28, 2013) in the Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Sunnyside Road Church of Christ, Decatur with Greg Swango, Minister, officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Macon County Memorial Park , Harristown. Memorials are suggested to the Shultz-Lewis Childrens Home. Roberta was born April 30, 1923 in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of William Craig and Tyanna Evans Sutherland. She married Elby M. Pulliam and together they owned and operated Quality Furniture, Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a member of the Sunnyside Road Church of Christ, Decatur.
Surviving are her children, Vernon Lee Pulliam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Elby Pulliam, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Dan Pulliam of Bethany, Gary Pulliam, Sandy Pulliam and Roger Pulliam all of Decatur; sisters, Norma Jean Goodman of Tuckerman, Arkansas, Dorothy Burgess, Shirley Heatherly, Marqualla Lewis and Cherry Clark all of Newport, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
