Dennis A. Hagerman

Dennis A. Hagerman, 64, of Sullivan, died 3:20 p.m. Wednesday (August 1, 2012) in Barnes Hospital, Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ, Sullivan with Felix Hagerman and Vanessa Patient officiating. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Saturday evening at the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ. Condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.

Mr. Hagerman was born June 1, 1948 in Champaign, IL, the son of Philip and Alice M. Hagerman. Dennis was a Certified Public Accountant and founder of Hagerman Accounting. Dennis was also the founder, Chairman and CEO for Hagerman and Company, Inc. in Mt. Zion, IL. He was a member of the Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ and was the church pianist for the past 48 years. Dennis served on the church board and was a board member for AF Holding (Agri-Fab) of Sullivan. Dennis married Sandy Hord on April 5, 1969 in Sullivan and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Elaine (Joe) Perry of Mt. Zion and Andrew (Brooke) Hagerman of Sullvan; grandchildren, Hannah, Sophie and Tessa Perry of Mt. Zion and Peyton, Sam and Eli Hagerman of Sullivan; brother, Barry Hagerman of Sullivan; sister-in-law, Amy (Jim) Galligan of Sullivan; nephew, Brigham (Ashley) Hagerman of Sullivan and a niece, Alyssa (Adam) Moomaw of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.
